If you sit for a long time it may be slightly uncomfortable but overall not too bad. There was one more shelf that we didn't use, that would have made it impossible to "accommodate".
All we did to attach it was one small wood screw with a washer into the wall between the decorative swirls in the shelf. Ben about 1k miles and so far it's holding up fine.

Clipper Mods

Just ordered the stove cover and a bunch of other stuff...it's never ending.
What does everyone do with the bottom bunk window? Have read that you can use "reflective" material of some type and double sided velcro. What is the reflective material? Any other solutions? Don't know why they didn't put some type of curtain there.

I have a 2016 Viking 17BH and I was looking at your mods, thanks for posting great ideas there.

So, I decide to show what I did tonight, 300w power inverter connected directly in electrical panel, I used a old inverter with a 12volt lighter connecter that I have disconnected.

The idea is to have a power cord, same way the one outside work, that I can pull and connect to my power station where TV and USB ports and available.

I think it will work pretty well to power up the TV and charge cell phones from our pair of 27 batteries when boondocking and it look neat.

I can elaborate the process if this get interesting to someone.

Looks pretty cool. Do you have a 12v tv? Also how did you wore it to the main power?

My tv is a normal 110 volt that’s why a inverter was required.

About the wiring, I start by completely unscrewing the electrical panel, only to find out that all wires are weld and accessible by removing the wood panel from the bench...

So I used the green wire, which is the TV antenna and booster (in my rv) to connect the 300w inverter, I didn’t change the 15 amp fuse on that circuit but my inverter have a 30 amp fuse integrated.

About the 12 volts TV, I did some research online, global thinking is that we lose around 10% when using a inverter instead of direct 12 volt. When I look at the cost of 12 volts TV, I'm ok with my setup

Next mod will be backsplash, I does it stand after 1 winter?

I have a 17BH and want to want to mount the tv above the window also but have read mixed reviews about mounting it on the exterior wall. How did you go about doing it CDM?

My TV mount has been installed by the dealer (previous owner took that option) it's a plywood mounted on the wall and the TV rack screwed to the plywood, I can send you a picture with measurement where to put the screws to attach the plywood to the wall.

The backsplash we installed only lasted one year. Looked nice but the adhesive didnt hold up through the winter. Also did not damage the interior so no big loss.

As far as the TV, I called Coachmen and they did not suggest mounting to the 1x1 stud over the side window. They suggested using the the edge of the overhead storage and mounting a bracket there. I reinforced it with an additional small block of wood on the inside. So far no issues.
Hope that helps

Ok so last night mod was the shower.

I took the cheapest shower head who ever existed out and installed the Body Spa Oxygenics Shower.

Well, we are still far away from a body spa like the name say but still a big improvement. Didn't try on our pump yet, but that thing don't feel cheap and i'm sure will deliver.

I kept the old hose, the one coming in the package feel cheap. I did change the holder with the one coming in the package.

The shower head is now higher (almost in the skylight) and we are tall persons so this is very welcome.

It's basically just a unscrew, screw mod, but wife's very happy with it!

Tonight will be about installing dual battery before dry camping this weekend, I found that the battery rack on the A frame (tongue) is only 24" and 2 27 batteries are 24" without any case. So I have to install a new case that will be siting on the A frame instead of the battery rack. I choose the Rubbermaid 1170 ActionPacker Lockable 8 Gallon. Will see how that sort out later...

I installed the same shower head, but I installed on/off valve on the faucet end of the hose. I have to bend down to pause the water now, but it doesn't sit up so high.

Maybe I installed it the wrong way? But I prefer not bending

Dual battery box done!

That was harder then expected.

I installed it on the original track, but I had to insert a piece of wood there.

You will see all the steps in the pics, now all wired are protected inside the box, no more fuse outside.
Only problem I had are 12 volts wires a bit short, I will be visiting local electronic store tomorrow to fix this. The bottom of the case is uneven (shame on you Rubbermaid), I will put a thin plywood or carpet later, but it can work like this. Other than that pretty happy with the mod.
