Coachmen 2015 292 BHDS Freedom Express Liberty Edition Problems

We bought a 2015 Coachman Freedom Express Liberty Edition 292 BHDS and had a great time camping (only 8 times) and then things started to fail, the AC freezes, fabric threads are pulling apart on the sofa and dinette, the cable on the black tank failed partially open (yuck) upon investigation found the cable was installed in a figure 8 pattern (incorrectly installed), the slide out leaves black stains on the carpet, there is a LARGE amount of debris left in the under belly from manufacturing, the wiring is poorly installed, the propane hoses are sloppily installed along the under belly...l am losing interest in Coachman we bought it because we thought it was a quality product. We would like some help from the Forest River company to remedy our problems our dealer said they can't help us.

did you buy it new or used?

if new, has the one year warranty expired?

why does the dealer say that they can't help you?

Fe 292 bhdsle

The unit was purchased new and the warranty has expired. The Dealer would not contact Forest River regarding latent defects they suggested that I contact FR...so I did, waiting f0r a response.

Just a suggestion about your AC! I have the same unit, 2012 model year. My unit was freezing up and the problem for me was the air filter was dirty. Once I washed it the freezing stopped.

Thanks, I appreciate your suggestion but even after the cleaning of the filter it still would freeze.

Mine is in the shop now for the A/C freezing up, and while we have only had ours for 8 months, I was informed that the warranty on the A/C unit is 2 years directly from Dometic. In fact Forest River deferred my shop to Dometic for the replacement. How long have you had the unit?
