We have been very happy with our Catalina over the last 15 months. Only one warranty issue and that was a mis-wired water heater. As far as build quality I think Coachman does a pretty good job. Found no discrepancies during PDI, dealer was very thorough with their inspection process as well so they caught and corrected some minor items(loose screws, etc)...but that's how its supposed to be!

Have fun and enjoy!!

We have had our Catlina about a year now. No complaints.

Welcome from San Antonio, TX. Purchased our Coachmen Catalina in September of last year. Overall we are very pleased. Had an initial leak behind the shower wall (dealer fixed - loose fittings). After that, I checked all connections - substantial leak at water pump (loose connections on both sides) and noticed propane smell during first camping trip (badly scored propane fitting in stove - replaced myself). Since then, smooth sailing. Just got back from a trip today and loved every minute of it. DW and I love our "couples coach!"

Was it difficult to access the water pump? Sounds like all easier fixes?

We bought our 243RBS new in 2014. No problems so far! Perfect for the two of us. A little crowded when grandkids are on board.

Sorry to be so late in replying. The water pump on our unit is accessed through a panel located right under the stove. Pump sets back a little and the back side (outflow) is by feel. Still easy to check the fittings. If checking, shine flashlight under pump and look for standing water. You can also run the pump with all faucets closed and see if the pump cycles. Make sure there is water in the fresh water tank.

Our 2012 30BHS had a water leak under the kitchen sink and two electrical problems.

A panel staple was shot through the wiring to the stove range which powered the vent fan and light. The staple went through the wire insulation and barely nicked the conductor. It intermittently would blow the fuse. Had to take it to the dealer three times before they found it. The first two times we took it back it would not blow the fuse. The third time it did blow and the tech actually did a pretty good job tracking it down. It was in the wall behind the range.

The other electrical problem was the red DC+ cable coming from the battery to the distribution/converter box was pinched between the camper frame and the flooring. Eventually vibration wore through the insulation.

My latest problem is that the manual crank rod for the slide out has broken off completely. Keeping my fingers crossed that we won't have any slide out problem until end of camping season. If I take it in now, we probably wont get it back in time for upcoming trips. So, bottom line, I'm not real impressed with Coachmen construction. But reading other posts it seems that QC is a common problem throughout the industry.
