4 point equilizer

Traded up to Freedom Express 292 BHDS . Wife and I love the space and floor plan works for us. I pull with a 2008 Yukon XL 3.73 gears , it pulls great in 3rd gear. I also up graded the hitch to a 4 point equilizer which made towing this TT very smooth, I should had bought the equilizer a long time ago. I love me some camping fever !!!

My experience to date is that the 292BHDS tow amazingly well, our previous trailer was a Keystone Passport 300BH and I thought that was about the best it got, boy was I wrong. We are using a squeakerlizer😜😜😜

That's one beauty of trailer 1atalbot !! . We are very happy with ours! I just order its carport for the Summers Sun rays here in Texas. Our previous trailers decals were starting to peal off on the edges.

Just finished reading all 24 pages of this thread, what a wealth of information! Coming from an 02 Coleman Utah Popup, and I think I've decided on this one, the 300BHS Apex is a little too heavy. One of main concerns is my TV, 2011 F150 302. I see many 3/4 ton on here, not too many 1/2 ton. Any experiences, or should I upgrade TV first..(that would put TT purchase off a lot!).

For the FL campers out there, any experiences with local dealers? Live in Sebastian, so there aren't any within a 2 hr drive, suggestions or opinions would be great! Happy Camping!

I can tell you this, my load capacity on my truck is 1400lbs. With the 4 point hitch it was extremely stable pulling. I pass big rigs doing 85mph with no problems if I want to pay for the extra fuel. I'm amazed at what that hitch did. Knowing what I do now, I believe my 1500 could handle an 8000lb trailer if I really wanted to but I was paranoid and opted to stay in the low 6000lb range.

We pull ours with an 03 Yukon with 3.42s it pulls good 70 to75 miles per hour. Long hills we slow down to 50-55. And we still get 12.5 mpg.

Thanks for the info...I was thinking of upgrading the TV, but I think with the right WD and Equalizer I'll be ok for now.. now how do I get a 292 Liberty Edition for under 20K! :-)

I paid $19500 for a 2014 liberty edition 292bhds with outside kitchen. It was a trade in cause the people who traded it in upsized. I caught them when they were making the trade. Bought it before it even hit the lot
