Day and night shades

Forgot to ask my RV dealer how to operate the day and night shades on my Apex 215RBK. I am actually embarrassed to ask this question, but how do these shades actually work?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Lift the night shades first, then the day shades after. Reverse process to close. Don't lift both shades at same time as it put undo stress on the string system. Anyways that's how I do it and have had no issues in three years.

My shades are single accordion style, when I slide them up, they will not stay in place. Frustrated.

All those day/night shades are, (to me), cheap. We have changed most of them to venetian blinds. If yours will not stay up, the tension must be wrong .... sounds like a dealer repair to me.

The tension is adjusted via the two strings (one on each end) by winding those strings around the bobbins they are attached to. Wind till you get the tension you want for each end.

Loosen the screw holding the strings to the wall, pull down on the strings and re-tighten the screw.
