Dual zone AC issues.

I have a 2018 Coachmen 360ibl with the factory dual zone AC's. I'm not sure when Coachmen went to the front ducted AC versus the non-ducted unit? Maybe when they switched to Coleman (2017?). Anyway, the system works pretty well on 50 amp service. My problem is when you only have 30 amp available. With the ductwork being tied together you don't seem to get a lot of cold air to the front of the coach just running the rear AC. If fact we had up to 7 degrees difference in temp this past weekend. If you run just the fan on the front unit you get NO cold air to the front because the front unit is pushing air back through the ductwork. Obviously this system was designed to run both units together on 50 amp. What we ended up doing was manually switching back and forth between the 2 units. Run the rears for awhile then run the front for awhile. I wondered if anyone else had figured out a better way. My old camper had a non-ducted front AC and we always had plenty of cold air flow to the front of the coach on 30 amp service. Thanks in advance.

Do you have the 15k optional unit in the rear? We do and it got plenty of air from the rear ac up to the front to keep it cool. Of course you will not get the same amount of air as the rear (static pressure limitations) but it was enough to keep it cool. What will help is if you close down the dampers a bit on the grilles (they're all adjustable like your house) in the back so that more air gets to the front. Might have to play with them a bit until you get it just right.

We had the rear ac go out on this last trip so we only had the front ac left. It's the smaller unit so it doesn't push much air at all to the back even with the front grilles closed down. So we set a fan on the floor to throw air to the back and we got along fine.
