Factory Equipment?

We purchased a 2014 Coachmen 29SE last week. I tried to remember everything I wanted to cover with the dealer before signing the papers, but of course, even though I had a few written down, some I did not think of till we got it home. Do most new trailers come with a spare tire and foot for the tongue jack? You would think for $20,000 it would come with both. I also see that most, not all, new trailers come with a TV.

I am wondering if it is because it is a Special Edition. The same trailer in the 292BHDS comes with a spare tire kit as part of the required Freedom Value Package. It does not appear that the SE has that package. Thus, no spare tire.

I got the spare tire, a cheap blue slinky, 4 place silverware and two placemats with matching napkins and a 30-15 amp adapter.
Two plates and coffee cups a serving platter and enough sawdust to bed a cow trailer.

Call the dealer and ask, how the hell are you supposed to unhook your trailer without a foot? Same with a spare...just ask and see what they say.

Our 2014 Palomini came with a spare tire and tongue jack wheel. We got the base model so don't have a TV. We went this route as we would prefer to install what we want rather than what the manufacturer/dealer decide for us. The TV/media center is my next project once the trailer gets back from having some warranty work performed.

spare tires are an option on most TT's. dealers will usually order them with a spare tire though.

our jack had a wheel but no foot.

a lot depends on the level of trailer. lots of the "stick and tin" TT's don't even have tv/cable hookups unless you order it as an option, let alone come with a tv.

A wheel? On a 3000+ lbs trailer? Thats an accident waiting to happen. Hope you are wearing steel toes while unhooking it from the TV.
Tv, i understand, but no spare on something that rides on a and a road, wheel on the jack is just scary!!! What if it rolls? Who is going to stop it?

My Viking 17BH had a wheel, but I asked the salesman if he would give me a foot and he did. They even drilled out the holes so I could put a pin in it and keep it on during travel. I keep the wheel with me, but I've never used it. The dealer will definitely accommodate little requests just to keep the sale. My guy threw in an e2 Weight Distribution Hitch, too, just because I asked him to. I'm sure I paid for it many times over with the mark-up these things have.

I don't use the wheel and made a raised wood block out of some 2X10 and 2X6's to accept the tongue jack. It's a lot less work with height of the block and safer too.

Mine came with the spare tire. When I did the PDI, there was no foot on the jack...I pointed that out and they installed one, no questions asked

A spare tire is usually an option on alot of TTs do not know about your model. An easy add on.

I have never had a foot on the jack on any TT we have owned or other trailers ( other than the fivers). I currently have 4 other trailers. So I can only assume that it is an option but ask. Not having one is no big deal. But a nice have. Again it should be a easy add on but not needed.

My greywolf did not come with a spare. Had a foot. Got a spare from tractor supply in the correct size.

As far as the water tank goes there are usually 2, brands on all of the average travel trailer. Atwood and Domenic. It does not matter what brand trailer you buy they all Use the same parts. Try and enjoy your trailer, I'm sure yours will be done soon.

If you didn't specify that you wanted your tank shipped direct, they (Coachmen /Dealer) will ship it (Slow boat to China), inside the next unit coming to the Dealer! Check with Dealer & Coachman on Your shipping of Your tank! Youroo!!They sometimes play the (Blame Game) on each other!
