Fenders don't line up

Is this a normal issue? I don't have a great pic but you can see it in the pic below. Basically the 2 piece fender flair that is meant to come together when the slides come in do not line up with each other creating a gap that looks like a hood scoop. I am worried that this will catch wind and tear the rear part of the flair over time. I have some ideas about fixing this using some sort of space under the front flair but I wanted to see if there were any other ideas.

It is for the most part typical on most trailers. They never fit like they were made to go together. Your fix will be better than the dealers.

X2...sadly. Although I’ve never had any trouble with the wind they seem to be very well anchored

Looks like a bigger problem to solve is the trailer riding nose high and the truck riding tail low.

Mine also has this gap. It looks like crap, but I haven't had any issues with the wind catching it. You would think they could come up with something that has a better fit and finish?
