Groupon has a special on these telescoping ladders. $159 is not a bad price for the smaller one (10.5').

If you end up getting the details for adding a ladder to the 310BHDS please send me a message, I would appreciate a copy.

Home Depot has the Werner 22ft multi ladder on sale for $99. I can get on and off the roof now with it in the step ladder (a frame) setup. Can also use around site and at home in different configurations. Dealer wanted just over $600 to install (parts and labor) the hard mounted rear ladder. That, and they said the bracing was already in place. Thanks for all the advice and info!

I just last week installed a rear ladder on my 310BHDS. I e-mailed Coachmen and asked if there were backers built into my unit. Yes, the 310BHDS does have the backers installed at the factory. They sent me a diagram of where the backers are located. That paper is out in the camper, I will get it, see if I can scan it to share. According to the schematic there are two (2) 2x4's turned sideways in the rear wall just for ladder mounting. I bought the Carlson Stromberg brand from Amazon--$86. The hardest part of the installation is holding the ladder in it's proper place while you determine how much to cut off of the top railing mount. This is necessary because of the curve of the roof. Having someone to hold the ladder while you determine how much to cut off and make a mark on the railing helps.

That's the way to go. easy to store and has multi-use instead of just on the trailer. Easier to use also. I have one and it's handy as hell and easy to use.

I have a brand new, never mounted, black ladder that fr accidentally sent me. I'd sell cheap but shipping makes it cost prohibitive.

Thanks dcheatwood but I have already got the ladder mounted. I am not overly happy with this one as it is a bit narrow and is only about six inches from the back wall. I'm not exactly a small person so it feels rather small to me. I made the initial climb up on the roof and it wasn't so bad. My eleven year old g'son says that he will climb up there to sweep off the slides for me but I'm not too cool with him being up there. I know, when I was 11 I was climbing trees, swing sets, water towers, etc. But it's different with the BOYZ (three g'son's).
