Fresh water tank leaking
We were planning on heading out this weekend for the first time in our brand new 29dds trailer, filled up the fresh water tank last night and now this morning there's a big wet spot underneath. It's looks like its coming from where the drain valve exits the underside of the trailer. The valve itself isn't leaking. UGH!

Might be the vent hose is loose or disconnected.

Are you sure that it's not just the tank overflow? All FW tanks are vented but some also have an overflow line.

So I just went back outside to look at it closer, I can hear it dripping inside the underbelly directly underneath the fill spot. Of course it's all sealed up and I can't see anything without unbolting the plastic covering. That's not gonna be fun.......
Btw the gauge still says full, so its a small leak, hopefully just an over flow valve.

Doesn't sound like it's the overflow line as it would be piped to drain onto the ground.
Looks like you may have to take a section of coroplast down to find out for sure.

If it was my guess, loose clamp or the fill tube cracked at the clamp.

I have pulled out about a half dozen screws and pulled down what plastic covering I could, the rest of it is glued up to the waste tank piping. Of course I can't see very much but I do see that's its still a slow drip. I called the dealer to see if they had any advice. He said same thing, loose clamp on fill hose, or similar hose. They are two hours away and of course booked solid till mid to end of next week. Hopefully as the water level goes down in the tank the leak will stop, gauge still shows full. Wish me luck!
thanks for the advice!

Drain out a little water and see if it stops.

Great minds think alike. Just drained off about a half a gallon and no more drip.

Got into our spot last night, got everything setup, dinner made and eaten. No water pressure. Pump runs tank is full. So this morning I did a search and got some very useful info. As best I can tell, the fill hose is so loose that the pump is sucking air. Ugh! Looks our trip next week will be to the dealer.
Oh I forgot to mention its been a lite steady rain all day here in central Iliinois. Could be worse I guess.

Figured out the no water pressure. My father in law came over when we got home today, we hunted down the water pump (dealer must have forgot to tell us where it is) its hiding behind carbon monoxide detector right next to the breaker/fuse box. (2012 29dds) what a strange place to put it. Near electrical, and no were near the fresh water tank. The hose used to pump in anti freeze was open, hence the sucking of air. Guess we'll still be heading to dealer to figure out the leak.
Thanks again for all the help!

tracing those things on new trailers is always interesting. best to be patient and have a good square drive bit to pull the screws they use for access panels.
Agree with everyone else about a loose clamp topside of your tank. Once you figured out the pump side of the problem, did it pump water well, and did this cause your leak to re-emerge?

Water runs great, now. Leak has slowed to almost nothing and the tank still shows full. Just have to remember not to over fill it again.

My 2013 when sanitizing this spring for first trip in it, I had the same thing. Had a small drip from underbelly. Pulled a couple screws and pulled down underbelly slightly, had to cut is a bit. Found fill tube clamp loose. A long 1/4 dr extention and 5/16 socket worked. resealed and good.
