Got her home on Friday

Well here she is. Still had to adjust the height of the hitch in this pic. Picked it up from Hunter RV in Sapulpa,Ok on Friday. Greatest people I have ever dealt with on any thing. Saved us a bunch of dollars and did every thing to make the deal go smooth. As we did the walk through, took two hours,I tried to pick the fly poop out of the pepper. The only thing I found was a raised screw on a heater vent that was catching on the carpet. 30 second fix. Absolutly nothing wrong with any thing that we could find. The pull home was great. My 08 Outback TT was a wiggle wagon. This thing towed like it was on a rail. Had the Sidewinder put on there and I can go until the fender of the truck would hit the corner of the side and never get close to the cab. I cranked it over 90* and still had 6 " to spare. The weight cops on here won't like it,but the Hemi and truck handled the 180 mile tow just fine. Had a 15 MPH side wind to boot. Never a"white knuckle"moment. So much better than the TT ever pulled. We worked all day yesterday getting stuff packed away and have a few more things to install and to put up. Going to be a happy camper now.

lol - can't be too far from us (KC, MO), they are giddy all giddy on the tv talking about snow. I will believe it when I see it.

Great looking trailer. which specific model is it?

I asked this up in towing, but thought I would ask here too.Does anyone one here have the Sidewinder hitch with a cowling over the hitch pin plate? If so does it hit the side of the truck when you turn?I'm not able to hook up and check for a few days.I had to mod the cowling to clear the plate when it moves with the trailer.Plenty of clearance over the plate, but don't know about the sides of the truck bed.Measurements look to be close. Thanks,Dave

Will was able to get it checked out today. There is 3" or so clearance for the sideways swing of the cowling. So any one that is getting a Chappy with the cowling all you need to do is cut the bottom down some to clear the SideWinder plate and it'll work fine.
