heater question

all need some thoughts. I have a brand new 2017 apex nano and last night i ran out of cooking oil so i ran out to the trailer to get some for the house and while i was in there the furnace kicked on for no reason it was in the off position and propane is off. Blowing cold air while showing off? any reason this might have happened? it has me stressed as we are going winter camping in less then a week .

You need to replace the cheap OEM analog tstat with a digital one.

If it's a Suburban analog T'stat, actually there is. The 'off' position is a firm click stop to the left. (below the lowest setting) You have to push the arm a bit, but it's there...

If you pushed harder, you probably engaged the hard off position.

Usually very simple but that's why I asked for a photo.
Simply to be sure it's not something unusual we might not have seen as of yet.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who uses camper supplies to supplement the house
