Installed Dexter EZ Flex on 360 IBL

Today I got the camper out of winter hibernation and started down the list of improvements for this year. First up was installing the Dexter EZ Flex and wet kit on the suspension.

Part: E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System by Dexter Axle - 7-3/4" Equalizers Dexter Trailer Suspension K71-653-00

It took about 6 hours to install. We have a farm, so I did it in our shop with all the tools and jacks I needed. It was a pain at times, but I managed to get it installed properly.

One important note for anyone wishing to install these on a camper with LCI's Correct Track system. The end spring hanger bolt supplied with the Dexter kit IS NOT LONG ENOUGH. You'll have to re-use the original bolt. I just coated it with grease and used the kit bushing and re-installed. I'll see if Dexter offers a longer bolt that would work with this.

Up next is shocks for the axles. Lippert Components Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit w/Heavy Duty Oil Shocks - Fits 3" Axle Tube Lippert Components Trailer Suspension LC281281

I'll try and get some pictures tomorrow...

Did you have any trouble removing the bolt in the original equalizer-hanger? I'm a urban wrencher with limited tools and a hammer. I can't get the bolt to budge with what I have.

I didn't have any issues removing the nut, but the bolt is designed not to turn. Just hammer it straight out once you remove the nut. I used an impact for the nut. As a tip you can leave the nut threaded on the bolt a little, then hammering on the bolt end won't damage the threads.

Thank you for the tips. I'll add some lubricant and use a bigger hammer.

WD40 and a wood splitting mall did the trick.
UPS says the parts will be delivered in 2 days. I'm am now ready to complete this upgrade and hit the trail.
Thanks again.

So I thought 2015-2016 Chaparral's came with the EZ Flex suspension. Didn't know that they came with Correct Track though. I'll be installing the never adjust brakes soon.

I installed the Lippert Components Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit w/Heavy Duty Oil Shocks LC281281 on the front axle about a month ago. Combined with the EZFLEX it seems to make a difference by reducing bounce in the camper. For me, the 360IBL has always towed very well.

I will not be able to install this kit on the rear axle because there is a slideout mechanism on the frame where the shock tower needs to be mounted. Seems ok with one.
