Level before or after Slides are put out??

We have three slides. We level the trailer first (front & back). I then install my side stabilizers. We then put out the slides and make minor adjustments, front to back.

I level and stabilize first to make certain the slide-out is being deployed from a level and stable platform. That being said, small compensations can be made in expectation of a certain amount of weight shifting to one side particularly if that side has 2 slide outs and the other 1, or as in my case the slide has the stove and refrigerator on that side.

Once you are level you are no longer setting on the springs! It should stay level once the slide is out! If you don't level before you put the slides out the RV could be twisted and it would put a bind on every thing! Level first😃!

I have a 26 FKSS V-Lite with 2 slides(Bed and Sofa). The trailer does lean after the slides are out. What I do is adjust my level to compensate for the amount of lean that occurs. So it is out of actual level but reads level when I adjust the slide side with blocks under the wheels. Once the slides are out it is level. The power stabilizers will not hold it from leaning, which is not what they are for. Good day,Glenn

We have 2 slides both on the same side. What we do is after a lot of experimentation, we put a 2x10 board under each wheel on that side.
So that's 1 1/2 inches raised on that side (2x10's are actually 1 1/2 inches thick). Then we put the slides out & it's perfectly level.

I have a 8310 with 2 super slides on 1 side. When the trailer is level I put 1 to 2 blocks under the slide side. When they go out It gets close to level.

I used to go 1/8 to 1/2 bubble off (high on slide side). Once slide is deployed, leaned to level.
You'll get it with practice.

I check the bubbles on the Lippert panel first, that tells me which side may need additional blocks becsuse the jacks can only extend so far. Works well for me but I always strive to get a fairly level spot to begin with. I love the auto level and it will love you if you plan before you start. I level first the put out the slides. I cut 2x8 boards for blocking.

I never worry about it. My wife always tells me I am a half a bubble off anyway.
