Lions Head Rims and shower door.

We have a 2016 321 Coachmen Freedom Express Liberty and have two issues.
The first issue is that we had a shower door that shattered into pieces for unknown reasons while sitting. I contacted Customer Service for Coachmen but naturally was referred to the manufacturer.
Secondly last spring I noticed that the aluminum rims on our rig were starting to deteriorate on the surface. I always washed with car soap and waxed with Macguires. Anyone else had these issues. Barely three years old but I’m sure they’ll be “out of warranty”

Rims not Anodized properly by manufacture and corrosion is getting to bare metal. That's my guess.

Tempered glass is subject to spontaneous shattering for no reason because of the way it is manufactured. The manufacturing process introduces a lot of stress in the structure and sometimes the slightest change in temp or movement will cause the glass to self destruct. This can be caused by a small flaw during the manufacturing process or a small scratch or bump while using it. The damage does not always occur immediately. FR owners have had a similar issue with some of their glass bathroom sinks.

One of my rims resembles your rim. I used acetone and a terry cloth rag and a lot of hard scrubbing. That removed the clear coat that has deteriorated.

I blew up my shower door, but it was because I forgot to tie it shut before driving. when I found out the cost I went with a $ store shower curtain. the one good side is the decreased weight.

If that doesn't happen, try a product called Happich Simichrome polish. Widely known in metalworking trades.
