Looking at coachman 16fb

I am looking at a Coachman 16fb or 17 fq. Will I be happy towing this with a 1999 dodge ram 1500 5.9 gasser. By happy I want to not be white knuckles.

Well, not having specifics on your truck, it is difficult to make a conclusion.

However, the trailers you mention have a GVWR of 3500 lbs and wet hitch weights of under 500lbs. It's hard to imagine that they would provide any issues for your pickup.

Just make sure your truck's hitch is rated to pull/carry the weight of the trailer/hitch. Plus, either factory or aftermarket extra cooling of the engine and transmission would be advised, especially if your going to do any mountain driving.

Truck has a 6000#/600# hitch. Also has a transmission cooler.
