Smile Looking to upgrade from hybrid

I have posted before in the Shamrock/Roo forum. We had an issue with delamination on the ends of our Shamrock 23ss, which was handled promptly & professionally by Forest River. Our dealer (no longer in business) was no help. Anyway, we camp in bear country & are getting older. We are looking for a solid trailer that we can just pull in & level with no other set up. We pull with a Dodge 1500 hemi. We love the rear living design and would like a slide. The Coachman Catalina seems to have the features that we are after. Any problems, suggestions would be appreciated.

Glad to hear that FR took care of the delamination on your Shamrock. Some other members are dealing with the same issue and haven't had a good outcome as of yet.

Good luck with finding the right unit to upgrade to.

Look into the RLS models. We love ours! My 1/2 ton Titan pulls ours great!

We have a 2015 Catalina 263RLS and tow with a 2004 Ford F150 Super Crew Lariat with tow package. No problems, very comfortable to pull.

We love the rear living and it was the only style we wanted.

Good luck and hope you find what you want!

Pops p:

I've also been researching larger TT's. With the RLS, the recliners are against the rear wall of the trailer while the entertainment center is against the wall of the bath or bedroom up front. It seems a awfully long way from the seats to the TV and it isn't a very large TV (maybe 22"?).

I'd be interested in your comment?

Our television is a 32" unit provided by Coachmen. We find that it views just fine. Don't need to feel like we're at the movies. After all, we are camping. Usually just watch for a short time before we turn in and at breakfast.

Thanks for the information. We have never watched the TV in our trailer. I just love the big windows in the RL trailers. As for Forest River responding to our delamination issue; they sent us new end doors & we covered the shipping costs.
