Hello all again, been gone on trips to Sea Side and then to Huron SD to a tactor
show, so DW and I have taken the Chappy now
for over 4000 miles in June and the 1st couple
of days in July. Will leave on another trip to Lyden WA at the end of July......
We have some minor problems, someone had
made a attempt to fix gray water pipe with some
kind of glue and tape (missed this on walk
thought when looking under trailer a few years ago )....
Pipe cracked and was leaking gray water (better than Black
LOL). Went to ACE hardware in Spear Fish SD and bought new
joints, pipe, glue, fixed in 20 minutes.... The the middle of SD
a car pulled up and said power cord was dragging Ugh ! !
Since my plug and cord do not detach and are stored under
the small table or compartment on the back of the trailer the
small dooe unsnapped and out came the cord....Stopped at
a small town and was sent to a electric warehouse that had
the parts, this is second time this has happened even being
very careful to store it right and keep tabs on it. I am going
to change this and add a new electric receiver/plugin on the
rear of the trailer and plug end on the cord this being able
to store cable under trailer and not attached in the rear of
The other small problem was on marker light lense blow off
in 45mph winds and TV antenna moved out of it's holder
and was stuck to one side.....Climbed up and fixed it but
now stuck and will not go up Ugh....
Fix's will be new lense, put extra brace on gray pipe,
screw in loose top support board in pantry slide, change
30amp power cord and see what's the problem with the
TV antenna mast even thought we never use it.
For a 2006 Chappy running over 4000 miles in a month
on ruff roads, gravel roads and drives I don't think
thats bad at all and except for the power cord all
