Foregive me for not saying it before! welcome!! Shadows4
2004 Chappy, coool nice trailer

Welcome to you Ottawa Mike As you have
seen there is not much found on the net
about older Chappy's. In fact not much found
on them except forsale older that 2010 and like
Shadows4 our older Chappy's you don't even see
anyone posting comments or pictures.

We fell in love with our the minute we walked
into it, DW loved the floor plan and I loved the
price We are also members of the Coachmen
club but have not camped with any of the
groups around us do to the fact they like to
camp during the week and the DW still works

Hey Dave and Sue I'm glad you are enjoying your
new Chappy and not having many problem's.
Ok on the seal, should not be to hard to get
repaired keep us posted.

Maybe by the end of the summer we can gain a few
new people who can talk about their older
Chappy's and post some pictures which I'm very
guilty of not doing

I just got 325 MKS ready for it's first trip of the year. We had to spend spring and summer house hunting , selling , buying and moving.
I just a 30amp plug installed in the garage so I can plug the 5r in and run everything before leaving each time.
Looking forward to some fall camping !

We put over 4000 mile on ours, MT. Rushmore, Grand Canyon in June and Yellowstone over the 4th of July.
Everything worked Just fine towed great even up to the Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnels out of Denver.

I am quite happy the bike rack worked great, the Akuret tires did not self implode or create a black hole.

Loving our first camping trip in our new Chaparral. Not loving the fact that the dealer failed to open water heater valves and did not tell us. Found out a couple of hours after the electric switch was on and had no hot water. Had to crawl in the cargo hold and unscrew the panel to get to them. Had hot water this morning. Hope I didn't ruin the water heater.

Welcome to the new owners and a Happy Camping wish.So far our "Chappy"has been just great.A few mods and small make overs.A ten day trip to Colorado Springs was nice.We are planning or Fall trip and will be heading west in a couple of weeks. From here to Coos Bay Oregon and down into the northern half of Cali and back through Utah home.4-6 weeks of travel.Should be a good shake down for it and us.

for it, finial went back to shop were we had it installed
and ask, was easy once you new were it was.

A small world no?

I note your listed home town and that I have family just across the freeway from you.

Rapid City, SD. and Williams, AZ. were home base for the time we were there.

Ok Ford Idaho

We stated two day's in Spear Fish ( Chris' Camp )and then
spent one day night just below Rapid City SD.
( Heartland RV Park & Cabins ) on our way to Huron SD &
State fairgrounds. We then spent another night at Spear
Fish at Chris Camp again, ( These people at Chris are great
an a real hoot, very clean camp ground ). We ledt there and
was fighting a 30 to 35mph head wind al day.. Ugh, we
spent he afternoon and night at 7th Ranch right next to
the little big horn (also I nice camp ground and free Ice cream
at check-in )...Then onto Fairmont RV Park an Camp Ground
Anaconda Montana the next night, we were going to stop
for the in Idaho near the washigton boarder but we arrived
there at about 1pm, the DW said why stop it's early, I said
ok but I told her I'm not stopping 100 miles from so hang on
were going to the house...We arrived that evening at 7:45pm
at total of over 700 mile's, reminded me of when i was driving over the road again.....

I have to tell you time is money and miles is the answer
when I was driving OTR, average anywhere from 550 to
600 most days by myself When running teaming we
would do around 1100 to 1200 miles a days depending on
the day and the weather. When teaming you only stop
for fuel and food an most times they were together along
with a shower You get to see allot of country from
the cab window, but not much in the way of
site-seeing

Now that I can slow down a bit I'm seeing the county
I passed at 70 and 75mph night or day along with the
DW. Much more fun that looking across the cab at some
guy that has a two day old beard and some days stinks
up the cab from the beans he ate the night before
Of course he more than likely could say the same about
me

Finally get to take the Chappy out next weekend. Spent this camping season house hunting, selling and moving.
Taking a short trip into the Hill Country ( Lost Maples) for a 4 day weekend and hopefully a few more short ones before winter.
Had the Chappy in the driveway and plugged into my 30 amp garage plug. l De-winterized her and ran everything for a couple days. All systems go, she runs just like we left her.

Thanks Chuck , I feel better now, lol. We moved into the house in July and have about 10 unopened boxes still stacked up in the garage that need to be unpacked someday.
