Our camper had a baby!

At least it looks like it when we put the new Clipper T16FB next to the Silverback. We have found out the hard way that a lot of the places we like to go are too out of the way to accommodate a 35 foot fiver. The solution: add to our Forest River family. We're hoping for a shake down in the next couple weeks.

Being in a 42 footer- I've thought of the same. But we never seriously considered it. Congrats!

You are right about 5-ers not fitting in very well in some campgrounds. I had a 16' Viking that was the same exact floor plan as your new baby, and for the weekend campouts....it was perfect, I loved it.

But living in it for 7 weeks, this past winter when I traveled to Florida.....the smallness of the trailer didn't bother me, it was the smallness of the 1-door fridge!!

So as soon as I got back to Ohio, I traded my 2013 16' Viking, in on a 2013 21' MiniLite.......ouch I took a $2500 loss, but I needed a 2-door fridge. I got tired of frozen heads of lettuce!!!

Actually, we traded an Aliner for this one. The Aliner was great for short trips on good roads. This summer we took it to Prince Edward Island to a small campground. The less them perfect roads through New England and parts of New Brunswick beat the poor thing to death. Turns out the Aliners will flex on bad roads and cause damage to the door. Some cracked frames have also been reported. We did more damage in that 2 weeks then in the previous 2 years.

We have a 37' FW on a seasonal site and DW has hinted about buying another popup to do some short trips.

You need a bumper sticker for the 16 footer "If you think my TV is too big my other camper is a 29RE Silverback"

I hope not, but we didn't take it to the scales. Wouldn't want to upset the weight police.

Nice! We got a deluxe tent for the same thing since our TT is seasonal.
I like your solution better! Not in the budget, though!
