Yeah, I had put my bike away for about 9 years when my kids were born but about 3 years I started to get back into it. We are doing the Grand Canyon of pa ride next month (55 miles).

So far pretty good. Only towed about 1k miles so far. Makes me worry reading the stories though. I've towed at 45psi but I think I'm going to bump it to 50psi (max cold) next time.

Most recent trip... Seven Points Campground at Raystown Lake... There's some nice sections and some really bad. Some of the sites are big and flat.... And some have your campers parking spot and then 6-8 steps down to your picnic table. Liked it enough that we're going back in July.

Warm-ups are over... Kids are now out of school so it's time to do a few extended stays. Heading out to Hershey Park Campground on Thursday... We'll be there for 8 nights.
No mods recently... Just picked up the hardware for the shower curtain today, so I hope to have that on before we leave. Hope everyone is enjoying their Apex as much as we are.

kdhfan,

I'm not sure if you have been to hershey park campground, just in case do not book the pull through sites. They are very tight, sometimes you can't even get your awning out. I always book site 57 and we have the same trailer (actually 56-59 are great sites to) they back onto the playground and grass area. You can be at your trailer and see the kids playing. Yes there is a train that goes through the back of the park, but honestly with the fan on in the trailer you do not hear it at all. Just my opinion. Hope that the info helps if you haven't been there.

Kdhfan, do you set up anymore stuff like awning tents and wind chime stuff extra folding table? I swear my wife puts way too much stuff out! Makes it hard to break down!

My kids get out next fri, we head out to one of the wooded beach areas around here! Cant wait.
My house goes into contract so we may be living in the apex!

We do have an EZ-up, an outdoor table and an outdoor TV, but we keep it pretty simple for weekend trips. Some camp chairs, "coffee table" (two under the bed totes stacked) and cold drinks is about all the further we get. Haha.

Burch42... We've camped Hershey Park Campground a number of times now. There's only a handful of sites I'll book when we stay there. We booked this one kinda late and we are in the pull through area... Have also been there before too. It's not ideal, but this trip is about the kids... and there's so much going on with the park, swimming, and activities, it's mostly just a place to sleep. We usually book site 101, but it was long gone when we decided on this trip.

Road trip!

Just drove 1800 miles with the new apex. Took us 3 days. Stayed at road side campgrounds for 2 nights. Reached our destination of Williams AZ (about 45 min south of the Grand Canyon) yesterday! Only issue was my air bags lost pressure in OK. Then it was a little more bouncy. But everything else worked out great. It was stressful at times with traffic and wind. But just took it slow in those situations. Might try to get the air bags fixed while we are here but not too worried for now.

I apologize if you've already stated, but I'm curious what weight distribution/sway control system you're using?
And what's the tow capacity on the Ram?

I have a blue ox. Dodge says my ram will tow 10,000 lbs. But I would not want to get that close to the max. One big reason I really like the Apex 288bhs. I also have BF Goodrich KO2 load range D tires.
