Potential new Apex owner/Apex 288BH info

Our Apex is almost a year old and around 35 nights camped. No issues with corners getting roughed up. However, I think it might depend more on how old your kids are. Hahaha.
and WELCOME!

Potential new Apex owner/Apex 288BH info

Seems I have found a leak in the top bunk window. Not sure how long it's been leaking... But my guess is from the beginning. Fortunately, our storage is covered, and we've been pretty lucky with rain on camping trips, so that's good, I guess.
After checking out possible culprits, I found that the window doesn't sit flush against the camper sidewall.
I called my dealer and didn't really get anywhere with them... So I called Coachman and they were very accommodating. I explained what I found and he stated the window would probably have to be reset. They gave me a list of Apex dealers in my area (not many), as well as others who carry similar models (Catalina). Found one who wasn't standoffish because I didn't buy there, and set an appointment. Going to have them fix the front LED lights as well (under warranty) while it's there.
I'll update the thread with any new information.

On the two new 288BHS', I noticed that the TV/mount wasn't quite level. Does anyone else see that on their model?

Right now, I'm between the 288BHS (or 28LE) and Passport 2810BH.

How have the wood interior finishes been holding up? I looked at a used 2015 28LE yesterday and the laminate corners seemed to be roughed up in many different places.

I haven't seen any 12V outlets inside either model. Has anyone run 12V inside? Basically, I want to run a 300w Pure Sine inverter for a TV when boondocking.
Ive camped 30 days in mine and interior is perfect!
I did run 12v sockets right next to the converter, 10awg wire and 15amp fuse on its own circuit. I run an arb fridge/freezer on it and what ever else i feel. Would be a little harder to run one like i did to the tv area but possible. Or a small extension cord over to the tv from inverter would work in my case.

Mine tv looks level to me! Does the passport have azdel exterior walls? Ive seen a few, they look pretty well constructed but didnt have the nice wheels or slamlock storage doors.

I don't think the Passport has Azdel. A couple of things it has over the Apex is actual doors for the front bedroom, nicer interior, and a deep slide.

What don't you like about the U-shape?

I'm not too concerned about the bed. I'll probably take a pillowtop from a guest bedroom at home and put it in the Apex.

I don't like my feet dangling over the edge in the short bed

The u dinette just seems like wasted space in the corners
