Question about installing Lend A Hand folding handle

I bought a Lend A Hand folding handle to mount on our new Coachmen Catalina so it is easier to get up the steps for our small child. It looks easy to install but I had a couple of questions come to mind. Is there a wood stud right next to the door to drill into and secure the handle? Apparently there is not on some trailers. Next, my trailer has aluminum siding so will this present an issue for mounting compared to a smooth sided trailer? Thank yall.

From experience: Before mounting anything to the outside of your unit take the time to e-mail Coachmen telling them what your intended plans are. I have done this and they sent me via e-mail a print showing where the wood has been place within the wall for the purpose of mounting exterior hardware. My unit "supposedly" has a welded aluminum framework but I did get a drawing to show me where the wooden studs had been place flat so that I could mount a ladder on the rear of my unit which has fiberglass walls.
