Question Remove & replace outside shower with access door?

We do not/never will use the outside shower (Apex 22QBS). That said, the only current access to the WH bypass and pump screen means removing a panel, laying chest down on the potty & reaching (stretching!!) into the dark plumbing abyss. So, just wondering if anyone knows of a "kit" to replace the outside shower assembly with a hatch/door that would enable easy(er) access and get rid of something we don't need/use? I'd prefer something that will fit into the shower opening so that no additional cutting is necessary. Thanks!

I am no authority and I don't own an Apex.
I would try and measure the opening and see if I could find a storage door that fits.

Ebay is a good source for doors

FWIW, last year I noted leakage under a panel box assemble that I would only describe as a plumbing chase behind my toilet. The shower is in that plumbing chase which doesn't appear like there is any access. After carefully prying out the brads so as not to break any of the pieces, I gained access to the screws securing the panels. After repositioning some of the wood stiles on the panels with brads and gorilla glue I was able to reconstruct a box that would give easy access to what was behind that plumbing chase. You might have to go similar process. My shower connections leaked and I had to cap them off to stop the leaks. Luckily what fits for this were a couple low point drain caps to disconnect the shower. Cold was connected to toilet, hot to a sink faucet that left a short length of pex that trapped antifreeze during winterization. If that was your intent, look and see if you don't have a dead run and take it out. I recently reconnected the shower after sourcing the cone shaped rubber washers. Boy howdy, are those hard to come across.

For all practical purposes, if you cap off the connections and eliminate the dead area of pex you could remove the wand and just leave the shower in place. I did reseal the outer bezel of the shower to the fiberglass body with Proseal Ultra clear as I could see a "crack" in the sealant had developed. But again, not on a n Apex but so much similarity in construction

Replace outside shower

Thanks -- good suggestions! (Wow -- there really are a lot of RV compartment doors on Ebay!) The area I'm "stuck" with (...literally) is actually behind the potty in the bath with closet floor above and the only other (interior) access would require removal of the converter and gas sniffer...even then it would be an angled stretch reach. I can deal with it for now...but, as the "aging process" marches on, I'm hoping for an easier access even though it's only at by-pass time and when I check the fresh water pump intake strainer that I have to grunt'n'cuss to reach in/under there.

Buy door from Forest River

I bought an extra access door directly from Forest River to add access to under dinette storage to avoid raising seat.
