Remove Refrigerator Freedom Express

Our fridge in our 2011 FE has a cooling fan which is running loud, I'd like to pull it out, clean it and lube it but I can't get at it without pulling fridge out. The fridge is the common Dometic fridge I see in most TT's I've looked at. If I open the freezer I see a bunch of screw heads going through the back wall, is this how it's held in place? If I back those out I should be able to slide fridge out?

No...........................

You will have 4 or 6 screws through the perimeter flange in the front into the cabinet face. Then there will be either 1 or 2 screws in the back (inside the vent panel) that are in a bracket screwed to the base its sitting on.

Disconnect the propane line and 12V wiring first, then find and remove all those screws.

Remove Refrigerator Freedom Express

Don't bother with the piece of crap dometic fan, just disconnect it.

Buy a good quality ball bearing computer fan and replace that junk one.

Factory one is 80mm I went with two 120mm fans.

New fan.

Old fan

I hate to say it but FR (as most TT manufacturers) sure do like to use low quality crap in their units. My 2011 needed new electric tongue jack, new converter / charger (and battery since it boiled mine) and now this fan. Anyone want to place bets on the next POS component to die on me ? Next time I'm doing more homework and going with a better quality manufacturer.

Hate to burst you rant [emoji6] but almost every manufacturer uses the same equipment
Jacks, fridges , converters etc etc

Maintenance IS one of the pleasures of owning. If you could camp 10x and not have to fix something... you did well. Most of the stuff people do is preventative or "wanted" work. I guess I would fit there too.

I guess I'd get bored if I upgraded to an Airstream

Download the installation manual for your fridge. It will show where the mounting screws are.
