Removing television from build. Oops?

When we ordered our Chaparral 390QSMB a while back, we chose to decline the 40" television option. It was around $719, and we figured we can just use one we already have, or even buy a new one for less than half that.

However, someone elsewhere mentioned that when you order the TV from the factory, that also includes the wiring, antenna, and booster. By declining the TV, you also don't get those things. Can anyone give some insight on this? Do I need to have the TV added before it's too late?

I wouldn't think that would be right. I would call the dealer and ask him. I sure hope it works out for you.

Call the manufacturer first thing Monday. Don't rely on the word of a salesman.

I don't think that's the case either. Also, the TV is subject to discount by the dealer, often times it's throw in when the dealer's by several. Regardless, the cost of the TV door you at the end of the day is more like $400 and removing it shouldn't remove anything else.

When I talked to the dealer about ordering a new Flagstaff he suggested that I not order the TV and buy one local (price) The new TT comes wired with antenna and plugs. Check with the MFG to be sure but I think you are fine not taking the TV.

Thanks all for the advice. I will call them this week to verify, but I would certainly hope that it should still be tv-ready. I already have a 42" tv that I can use (unfortunately my 55" won't fit) so it seems silly to pay such a hefty price, even at a dealer discounted price. I can get a 40" smart tv for $350 these days...

We placed the order on April 8. Does anyone know how long it takes them to actually start building it?
