Screw depth in hanging closet 17FQ

I have a Viking 2017 17FQ travel trailer.

I'm planning on removing the pole in the hanging closets on each side of the bed and putting shelves in.
Does anyone know the depth I can screw in the outside wall of the closet which is the outside wall of the trailer. The inside wall of the closet is not in question.

Also, has anyone tried Liquid Nails to attach wood 'rails' in the closet and place a shelf on the rails.

Those walls are pretty thin. I'd say not more than a 1" screw.

I'd recommend using a construction adhesive and roughing up the area that it needs to adhere to. That will be stronger than screws in the wall.

Hi ya IslandEd,
It’s been awhile since I changed ours, if memory serves me right there is blocking in the wall at the very edges of the cabinet. I did run a bead of latex along the shelves supports prior to screwing into place, so that helps shoulder the load.
This was the only pic I have of it....hope it helps, not sure why I can’t get it to upload correctly.
