Seam opening on underbelly of my FE 310BHDS

Found this little goodie behind one of my tires. Thank goodness I'm still under warranty.

No biggie, the Coroplast underbelly does that. Use a self tapping screw with a fender washer after you pre-drill a pilot hole and secure it like the factory does. If you still have a gap, fill it with expanding foam and spray paint it black. That is all your dealer will do. Might be easier than sitting in line for a repair?

I'm getting ready to take the 1 hr drive to my brother's house where the trailer is parked to attempt this repair. If it's quick and easy, I'll fix it right there. I just hope that something above the coroplast hasn't started sagging and caused this. If the latter is the case, I'll be hauling it to the dealer.

Just make sure there is no wires, pipes or tanks before drilling. If you look around the belly, you will see other gaps that will need to be secured or filled to keep the critters out. As long as you have a open can of spray foam, go inside the trailer and use the rest on pipes and wires that go through the floor. The factory likes to make a 3" hole for a 1/2" wire ect...

I just did this type of repair and it's no big deal. I also caution, be sure there are no wires above where you are drilling the holes as my unit had wires just lying on the belly protection panel.

I just took it to the dealer and let them do it. Far less aggravation.

Was there an issue under the coroplast?

Be sure to get closed cell foam vs the open cell foam. Also get paint that is foam friendly.
