skylight in shower

Hi

I just got my brand new 2019 Apex Nano 203rbk. Absolutely love it after searching long and hard.

I have noticed that there is condensation in the skylight above the shower. Picture attached.

There is a clear plexiglas panel above the shower and then the bubble skylight above that.

Will this moisture dissipate over time or is it something I should get addressed with the dealer ? Never noticed it when I picked up the trailer a couple of days ago, didn't even look at the skylight when I did my PDI. I Know, my bad

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Could just be condensation from whatever temps and humidity you currently have, or it could be an indication of a leak. You could drop the inside piece and dry it out and see if it returns.

I had the same issue. Take a shower and the outer clear bubble was full of condensation.

I dropped the interior panel and noticed the dbl sided tape attaching the translucent lens to the facia had failed ( letting air pass through). I sealed it with caulk.

I then got some wide foam tape and sealed the facia to ceiling. ( not visible though)

This should keep the humidity out of the attic.

Chaps, could you supply pics if your work? I just took mine out of storage yesterday and found this condition. Dropped the interior lid and letting it dry out.
What bothers me is I sealed it in the fall with the tape.

Thanks.

Condensation has always been a problem with RV's, especially when it's cold outside.
A small space with a lot of warm, moist human activity is science in action.
You need a lot of ventilation to keep it under control.

The problem here is that the moisture is between the 2 glazed units of the skylight. Yes it has 2 Plexiglas pieces. With moisture between them means the seal has broken.
This is a new unit and so far has not had any human activity in it but thanks for the reply

Ah, ok, a double pane skylight, glad the dealer will take care of it.

My inner bezel was actually sealed with a bead of white silicone bath caulk to the ceiling so I dont have the condensation issue. Maybe you want to go that direction instead of tape. It was also screwed to the ceiling.

Thanks, mine was screwed in as well. I'll go the caulk route to see if that helps. Thanks again.

After taping mine last year, I agree caulk seal might be the best solution.
