Update: I tried with dental pics, not a chance of snagging it. It is hard plastic and no room to pry from.

As suggested, I then drilled a small hole in the middle of the plastic and got a screw to bite into it. Tried with significant force to pull it out--it wasn't coming out.

Looked again for mfgr markings--none--just the GPM specs etc.

Hard to believe this thing does not come apart. I have taken many apart and lubed. While my shower is the same type, at least it does not squeak.

I guess this must be the first in a new series of faucet type/brand...I can't believe I am the only one having the problem and can't remedy it.

I will put it on my dealer list and see if they have a trick to solve it.

Thanks for the feedback.

One of the first things we do to any new RV is replace all the cheap oem faucets. Saves me frustration later and we enjoy them much more. You can get replacements at any hardware store from cheap to expensive.

Update: I removed the faucet and figured out it is a WMF EL8201. No info on the website regarding servicing but I was able to email the folks in Taiwan.

I Installed this one today. I had to orient the handle from the side to the front due to clearance issues with the back wall. Not sure how DW will like it...The old fixture required PEX pipe all the way up to the bottom of the fixture. I wasn't quite ready to cut the pex pipe yet so I picked up the right angle bracket to make it possible to connect the braided hoses of the new faucet. Click image for larger version

Also in order to satisfy my DW's complaints about my hand soap and dawn dish soap bottles always inviting a wet counter, I got these to plug the extra holes in the counter. Man, these have come a long way since I had one back in the 90's...fill from the top WHAT???

Problem Solved!

Now that the old faucet is out, i got a bit more aggressive with pushing in the pin. One side came off easily, the other was a challenge. here is a pic of the part underneath the handle. Click image for larger version
