Television through RV speakers

I can't seem to get our TCL television to play through the Furrion sound system.

Everything else works as it should. You can view and listen to the TV through its own speakers. You can also put a DVD into the Furrion sound system and play it through the RV speakers (and TV speakers if you want.)

It may be just designed that way but it seems you should be able to play the TV through the sound system.

Any thoughts?

You need to get a audio output from the TV to the Fusion receiver. Either a RCA Red and White style cable or a optical out using a toslink cable.

I have a TCL and the Furrion in my FE321. I use an axillary adapter from the headphone jack on the tv to the aux jack on the radio. Then set the furrion to AUX on its remote and you can use the tv remote for the volume. Works quite well.

Check to make sure that audio OUT ports from the TV are connected to the furrion. Sometimes audio IN ports at the TV are connected by mistake. Just a thought.

We found that the Furrion tv (Rockwood 2016 8299 fifth wheel) a lot better when we added a sound bar. The DVD/radio unit with existing installed speakers was not that much better than the tv speakers alone. We could not get the speakers to work over the recliner chairs where we needed them to work. The bedroom, kitchen and outside speakers were rather muffled.

Television through RV speakers

We have the Furrion DV3100 in our unit. I ran RCA cables from the TV to the back of the radio. Now we get the TV through the radio using the AV IN function. Took me 5 mins to set up. Hardest part was running the wires through the hole that came from the TV area to the radio.Click image for larger version

Mine isnt a furrion but had the same issue. I didnt want to pull the unit out to see what inputs it had behind it and run wires so I just bought a bluetooth transmitter and use that for tv through speakers.

There are just 4 stews on the front and it slides out easily. The rest takes just minutes to complete.

Its a Taotronics Bluetooth transmitter I got off of Amazon. Works good. I used a rca with a 3.5mm adapter to hook it to the tv.

Yeah my dvd stereo is kind of far away from where the tv mounts. I could have ran the wire. Have to drill some holes and stuff not a super big deal but really was just easier to plug the transmitter in.

Television through RV speakers

I tried the RCA cables and never could get it to work. Dug around for owners manual and l found a cord that they shipped with two RCA jacks on one end for TV and single miniature plug on the other for the Furrion. Even more amazing is that it works.

Thanks for all the suggestions folks.

For the life of me I don't understand why they couldn't hook all that up at the factory.

Were you able to get the tv sound through ALL the speakers in your RV? We have a 2016 8299 Rockwood 5th wheel and we attached the red white and yellow rca cable the same way as you did. We get sound through the galley speakers, one of the two bedroom speakers, the outside speakers, but NOT over the two recliner chairs in the living area where we really want them. Crazy! We ended up getting a short sound bar that fits below the tv. More weight to pull.

All my speakers work. We have 2 in the bedroom, 2 in the galley, and the 2 outside speakers. All are good.

We do not have any speakers in seat so not sure how they would hook up. I would guess there is a connection problem between the seats and the radio.

The thing is, the seat speakers work just fine with the radio on.

Maybe change your balance and fade and see if that changes things up. Not sure why one would work and the other setting doesn't if its all going through the same radio.
