Trading in the Roo for a 279RLDSLE
Like the title says, we are trading in our 2016 ROO 19 for a 2018 Coachmen Freedom Express Liberty Edition 279RLDSLE. We pick it up on Thursday and can't wait. Hate to see the Roo go, but all the extra room is be wonderful. I'm actually looking forward to a cold rainy day (like a lot of them this past year) so i can sit inside with a cold beer in front of the fire place. Does anybody else have this model and offer any learned suggestions?

Well I picked up the new trailer last night. Was in it for several hours just trying to figure the radio/tv/Bluetooth out. Today while I' m working, the dw will be inside loading it back up. Does anybody have this model that can offer any helpful hints for anything?
I was very surprised while doing the PDI, that the water heater does not take an anode rod ( they said I would void the warranty if I installed one) and their was no internal water filter. Which I gues is no big deal since I use a hose mounted filter all the time anyway.

I wish I didn't have the anode rod in mine. Our old trailer had the Atwood heater and no rod. 9 years and it was clean as a whistle inside and no extra flushing to get all the debris out that the rod leaves behind.

Your Roo had a Suburban WH, which has an anode rod, your Coachmen probably has an Atwood WH, which doesn't need one.
I had the same difference with my new Prime Time Tracer AIR.

I just looked at the specs for your new camper and it looks like a VERY NICE floorplan. I am Very certain you will enjoy it immensely.
I am including a link to another thread for a problem someone else had with their 20' awning.
http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ms+-+Emails%29
My suggestion to them and to you is to get a support bracket to keep your awning from bowing as well. The thread has a link that I posted there for them and my recommendations for how and where to locate it.
My last suggestion is in regards to your sitting inside on those cold winter days. Coffee and Kahlua, Cerme de Cocoa or Baileys to help keep you warm and snug. *S*

You most likely shot these with the phone sideways in 'landscape' mode. Sometimes the apps are smart enough to see the orientation of your phone and spin the image to suit when you view them on the phone. Try using the Rotate Right in the app before uploading.

now i'm confused. i was not in landscape mode, just what i consider to be normal. i tried to attach another picture seeing if i could change anything, but nothing changed. HOWEVER, i did discover that if i right click on a picture it does show sideways, but if i right click it again, it rotates to normal but does not save it that way.
as you can tell, i'm tech stupid. my wife is amazed i even try to do stuff like this.

OK, let's get serious for a minute, but only for a minute.
What camera are you using to shoot with?
What software do you use and how are you processing the files to produce your final images?
How are you saving them and in what format?

Again, I’m tech stupid. To answer your first question, I am using my iPhone 6. Than I emailed to my laptop and saved to my pictures. Uploaded from there. When you ask about software, processing and format, you are speaking Greek to me.

OK, I was somewhat frustrated that I could not get the TV to play through camper speakers, so the forum to the rescue. A quick search on the DV3100 system and I had my answer. Why it does not come like this is beyond me. The audio out cables can't be more than $5. I pulled the system out of the wall (only 3 screws), plugged in the red and white connectors and fish taped them right up the wall to the wiring access to the back of the TV. Plugged them into the red and white jacks on the back of the TV and done. Now I just put the system in AV mode and it works perfectly. Can't understand why they wouldn't have done this at the factory.

You and everybody else.
It is possible, and likely considering the combined experiences of Forest River owners, that the fitter in the workshop either needed a pee break and forgot or just was too lazy to bother. But that may too much of a generalisation, maybe.
