I purchased a new Coachmen Catalina 25RKS and am installing a TV in the entertainment center. I understand there is a 3/4 piece plywood mounting plate in the wall. The mounting bracket uses two 5/16 lag bolts to mount to the wall. I am struggling with only two lag bolts 3/4" long holding the bracket and TV to the wall. Any advice or experience?
We also have new 25rks, I bought a tv mount for 22" tv with adjustable arm from Walmart. Had to install it to the right of center, seemed to have thicker wood there than in the center.
If you wanted you could get a piece of plywood and add that to the entertainment center to give it some extra room / weight distribution. Just a thought....
There are studs in the TV mounting area, just find them and mount your flat panel mount to them. Keep things low profile if possible, looks much cleaner and professional. I mounted a 32" in my Catalina with no additional support and the studs are holding it fine. Just use a stud finder, mark and drill.
