I haven't done it yet was wanting to see if this would work I think it will the shelf is for a tv and a 20 inch isn't to big u can use some good grade plywood stain it to match your shelf when I get it done I will post pics

The dealer actually added the bracket for a flat wall mount. The problem with that is if your on the bottom bunk you can't see the TV. I swapped out the flat mount for a swivel mount. I added a buckle strap to secure it while traveling. It has worked fine for last season and the grand kids are happy they can all watch the tv.[/QUOT.
