TV mount on fiberglass

I have fiberglass siding and want to install an exterior TV mount, a Kebloc. It is approx. 3" wide and maybe 4" high and must be screwed on.
How can I ensure where the aluminum studs are to secure the TV mount?

On my 5er,if you look down the side early in the morning, you can see where the studs are at.The cooler morning air seems to make them easier to see.Especially when there is some dew on the camper.

I contacted the manufacture, Coachmen, who told me there are no studs or anything on the inside to secure screws to at that location.
So I will have to place a 3/4" piece of plywood on the interior and drill through the fiberglass and insulation into it.
This should work fine, I just have to get behind the drawers to get the plywood in place. Then caulk the mount of course.

Has anyone found a place to buy the Kebloc TV Mounts? I just bought a 2016 Forest River Surveyor and need an additional wall and tv mount for the bedroom. Thanks

I mount my 42", 22 pound LG TV on the side of my camper wherever I want to using the GOstik suction mount.

Here is a link: GOstik Products Flat screen TV Suction Cup Mount | GoStik

It's not cheap, but it sure serves its purpose and leaves me with the option to put my TV wherever I want whenever I want.

Like nomad297 we just purchased the GOstik mount at the FROG rally last week. Was planning on getting the build in mounting via the enclosed door and panel system. Then have it painted to match the body color. This way was much cheaper and movable.

I'll add that the standard mount that comes with the GOstik will work for up to a VESA 200 x 200. Let them know if you need a mount for a larger VESA dimension. My TV requires VESA 400 x 400 and they provided me with the kit to make that work.

I had no idea they were going there, but it sure was a good move for them, I'm sure. This thing really works. I was a bit afraid to use it at first, but it has stuck to one place for over a week without losing any suction before I pulled it off. I'm not afraid of it anymore.

My surveyor came with a Kebloc already mounted on the exterior with a mount in the living area and one tv back mount. I was wanting to get additional one for the bedroom so either tv could be mounted outside

Kebloc Mount

I recently bought two and a TV mount. Here is the website, you have to call a salesman but prices are very reasonable.

Exterior suction TV mounting

Hi,

Newbie here, I realize this is an old thread but...I was thinking about a suction TV mount. Has anyone had any issue with exterior delaminating, separating or bubbling up from the suction?

The unit I have has a gelcoat fiberglass exterior with full body paint.

Thanks

Have been using one on our Coachmen Pursuit for 3 years now. I like being able to move it around to keep the tv out of the sun during the day.
