Water Hookup Help?

I have a 2016 Coachman Chaparral 371mbrb. The dealer didn't show me how the all of the knobs and valves should be set once we were hooked up...let alone tell me about the flush system..learned about that the hard way...anyhow, can anyone help me out? I'm on a permanent lot with no intention of moving any time soon. I cant find anything in my manual that explains the purpose of each knob. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The little diagrams by the knobs in the top right corner tell you how they need to be positioned for different uses. Right now it is set to use from a city hookup with both knobs vertical, which I see you have the hose connected. Turning the right knob horizontal and left knob vertical allows you to fill the on board fw tank. Turning the left knob horizontal and the right vertical is for using the tank.

Thank you dwayneb236! Do you know what the bypass purpose is?

It's for when you winterize. Bypasses the water heater.

I have a Brookstone 395 and have the exact same water setup.

That little black connection and the very top right is for where you put in the winterizing fluids of your choice.

Something I did and you might want to think about is I put a 90 degree fitting between the freshwater hose and filler. Takes a lot of the stress off the connections.

And also don't forget to turn on the pump if you are using the on board water tank.

We really looked hard at the Chaparral when we were shopping. Liked it a lot but the bunkhouse just wasn't set up quite like we needed like the Brookstone.

Hope your dealer didn't charge you for such a lousy PDI.
these are basic things that they should have educated you about.

When I picked mine up I had a pretty good PDI guy, and it was no charge. I already knew a lot of what was going on and asked several questions. Had them fill the tanks before I got there too. Apparently they don't get asked that a lot as they seemed surprised I asked it.

No extra charge, just two weeks of running around waiting on them to fix the fridge AFTER delivery. Even though it wasn't working at the demo 😠
