I'll be doing just the opposite. Leaving a Jayco hybrid for a new Coachmen that we will pick up on Monday as well.

I know you will enjoy your new Jayco......

You don't have to leave. There are a lot of SOB's on here (Some Other Brand)

A good portion of the questions on this forum have to do with common stuff like water heaters, furnaces, etc.

Alex.mcintosh40, what types of problems did you have with the 371mbrb? I purchased a 2017 coachmen chaparral 371mbrb last month and would like to know what to be on the lookout for. We set it up on a seasonal site, spent one night in it, then went back the next week and winterized it.

Well alot of typical small things. Then turned into alot more like rear bed pulled out of the wall and did some damage then. Big slide quit working started smoking anytime you hit the button. Front air conditioner isnt working right still no matter what they say the back room gets absolutely no heat back there. Make sure you check your gas detector air propane tank valve explode in the middle of the night the whole camper was filled up with gas and nothing went off very scary specially when they say it won't go into the rv luckily my wife woke up because it still had a half of tank left in it. Rear grey tank would not drain because the way they put the cables in there it wouldn't allow it to come out. Also the shower had a major leak to were more water was coming out of the bottom of the camper one weekend then into the tanks. Just check fittings and keep your pull handles lube up or they will lock up manufacturer does not do it like they said my dealer told me that

Congratulations! Can't say as I blame you for walking away from the Coachmen, ours is in the shop again....it's always something! I'm thinking I will make an appointment with the shop for next Summer when we get back from our Spring trip, I know something will happen to it and need service....

Thank you!! You really wouldn't think 3 feet would make a big difference. I think the non slanted roof makes it look bigger sure is a wind sail.
Twice, which chaparral do you have? And that's why my wife said let's just get rid of it counldnt enjoy it being afraid of what going to go wrong next. Luckily had enough down on the coachmen I had positive equity.

We have the 336 TSIK 5er. We probably have 8K miles on it now but always are waiting for the other shoe to drop. Currently it's have dining room slide topper replaced because it would let the slide open. Fortunately, this time it's covered by extended warranty! We've considered trading it in too, still may. I have friends with the Grand Designs and no problems at all, I wish you the same worry free travel with your new shiny one!

It is very heavy but fuel mileage didn't change a bit between this and the chapparal or power was very surprised. Fortuantly we don't have a lot of stuff so should hurt to bad on weight when we load it up

We also just rid ourselves of our problem prone Coachmen (Freedom Express Liberty Edition) that we bought at Gillette's just a year and a half ago and bought a new Jayco. Our initial dealings with Gillette couldn't have been more pleasant.

However, when we went to order the new Jayco, our "experience" couldn't have been any worse. Partly, because I was more knowledgeable than I was the first time on the in's and out's of it all and partly because they took a "take it or leave it" stand with me. Don't know if us buying off the lot vs. ordering also played into this, but after I tried to push in negotiations on the price, they basically told me to "take my business elsewhere", and I did. We ended up ordering elsewhere and saved almost 5 grand overall.

On the plus side, if you ever plan on getting service at Gillette, Josh was absolutely fantastic and was running that department last I knew. Joe was also just moved to service from sales at that time and was great to work with as well.

Hey glad to hear it's not just me with the coachmen deal. I just couldn't go camping every other weekend and worry about what's going to happen next it drove me and my wife nuts. They our very nice people there they worked with me big time we our very complicated lol the GM answered about every question i had very fast and got me a deal that no other dealer could even get close to i searched high and low for this thing lol. And you are correct Josh was awesome I found a small squeak in the floor on sat he took video and pics of it and wrote up a service request and sent it to jayco that way it could already be approved by them when I take it to my local jayco dealer unfortunately it was a 5 1/2 hour drive for me up there with the weather.. always love saving money!!
