George, are you talking about the area near McAllen? That's what I call the valley. That would be quite a hike for you as it is close to a 5 hr drive from Houston.

Back when I was in college, I worked down there one summer. Pepe's on the River was a bar/restaurant in Mission that I frequented. Don't know if it's still there but that place sure was fun back then

Yes this is my wife and my first travel trailer. We've camped in a tent many times. We will be in the TT a lot due to traveling for my work

My wife and 2 girls are proud owners of a 2014 50th aniversary Apex 288BHS. Our TV is a 2011 ram 1500 crew Big Horn with tow package.

Burch42, you have a very nice looking coach. I hope you enjoy many years of memories in it. We purchased a freedom express in the fall of last year and are also anxious to use it soon. I also have the same truck you do and it pulls great. I have added the airlift 1000 bags to remove the sag on the rear axle. Made a big difference in sway control. Enjoy

This is our 1st TT. We picked this up Monday. 2014 Catalina 50th Anniversary 243RBS. Although we are a few weeks away from our first trip, we are loving it already!

I still have our Rockwood Freedon PUP. That's for overflow from when the kids and grandkids go with us.

That's the tow vehicle beside it.
