Wheel bearing seal size for Freedom Express?

I'm about to repack the wheel bearings for the first time on my 2015 192BRS. Since I have to do it while it's parked at the storage lot, I'd like to have everything I need on hand. How can I find the size of new seals before pulling the wheels? And is it ok to place the jack under the axle? Thanks.

I did find Lippert information that says NOT to place the jack under the axle or springs, but to raise the trailer only by the frame.

I have always placed the jack directly on the U bolt and never had an issue. Placing on the tube could bend the tube. The U bolt is not going to give.

Thanks, Dave. Other places I looked recommended that, too. Strangely, the Lippert manual has a Warning saying, "Lift unit by the frame and never the axle or suspension." Then, when listing the steps for Hub Removal it says, "Lift trailer and support it per manufacturer's requirements." I guess the warning came from the legal department! The U bolt looks to me to be the best place.

Op seal question not answered. I had same issue as no documents on axle of new rv. Looked on front of axle and found model number and called Dexter. They gave me their seal number and the seal outer and inner dimension. Was able to get local folks to cross reference Dexter number as well.

I have a trailer sales yard close by, stopped in told him what I had and he had the seals. They sell and service trailers of any type.

Seal Number

Most axles are made by dextor and the following site Dexter Parts Online, Dexter Axle Parts, Dexter Repair Parts, Brakes, Hubs usually has any numbers you may need based on axle size.

Thanks for the help. It is a Lippert axle, not Dexter. I'll crawl under and see if there is any kind of reference number. I don't know how to determine the axle size. Worst case, I'll pull off one wheel and take out the seal to get matched up.

After reading the posts about where and how to jack up the trailer, I think I'll get a Andersen Rapid Jack. No fuss, no muss.

Recently we got a Rapid Jack, and it works great in our 192 RBS. Fortunately, not to change a flat or do wheel maintenance, but we did a real, "live" test to make sure the arc of the jack would fit in between the tandem axle. Worked fine.

I do recommend a spotter to alert you when your good tire has fully rolled up on the Rapid Jack. I couldn't feel a thing when I pulled forward in our test.

From the sticker on the axle(s), I was able to determine that the 192RBS has 3500# axles. With that information, I found the seals I need from the Lippert website. Ordered Lippert parts from Amazon.

FYI. The Lippert Components Towable RV "master manual" says the "bearing grease should be replaced every 12,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first."
