Where is it?

So I have just purchased my first new (to me anyway) Travel trailer. A 2010 Coachmen Freedom Express 300BHS. I really like it. The one I found is clean, sound and appears to have been taken care of. So while looking around it dawned on me that I can't find the Circuit Breaker panel for the outlets. Does it have one or is does it not need one as everything runs off the one 30Amp incoming circuit? Also for the 12 Volt things. Would they not have fuses someplace? Just curious.

For the starting mods, I have swapped out all interior lights to LED, Switched the bug light by the door to LED. Switched the rear tail lights to LED (since they had a burnt out bulb anyway). I am also picking up two new Batteries (12Volt) to replace the used single one. Then I am making a custom Battery box with additional storage for the WD Hitch stuff. This trailer only has one large compartment up front for outside storage so I want to store the leveling blocks in there when moving too.

Thanks for listening. Hope to see you all soon at some camp site around Minnesota.

I thought that was part of the hot water heater. Now I feel like an idiot. I know right where that is. Thanks.

Feldhege, don't feel bad and you're not an idiot. You just experienced a learning opportunity . Probably a few more to come so feel free to ask if there's something/anything you don't understand.

Yep, I've been told that by my wife a few times. But what does she know.

Thanks to all. I feel better now. Although still a little silly for asking.

I do have a question about dual batteries.
How big? (AH and Size)
Where do you buy them?
Should I get them from Wal-mart (or Sears or a place with buildings around the country)?
I plan on building a battery box/Tongue Storage box for them but just want to make sure I make it big enough.

Feldhege,

Check the this link http://www.trojanbattery.com/pdf/trj...usersguide.pdf and you will find lots of battery information. Trojan Batteries are my preference but there are lots of options out there. Choose what makes you comfortable, Walmart and Sears do have a lot of stores and offer decent warranties.

Best regards,

Wherever you get them, just make sure that they are true deep discharge batteries. The marine batteries will not last as long. You might consider using two 6V golf cart batteries in series.

X2 and wire them right, using Herc's diagram.

I use 2 6volt golf cart batteries. A bit better runtime than 2 12volt deep cycle batteries.

post up plenty of picks when you get to the battery box. Been thinking about doing one on my trailer with storage as well.

Check out the tab at the top navigation bar called library - it is where most tech articles are stored. everything you ever wanted to know and more about batteries, wiring etc.
