While earth tones have mostly gone out of style in interior design;kitchens and baths several years ago, trending to color palettes of grays/putty's, black and white. I am surprised that the rv industry hasn't caught up yet with the latest trends.
Personally, I do love my earthtones vinyl flooring in my rv. It hides all the dirt tracked in really well. The rest of the browns are rather boring. I wonder how many people have changed it out by refinishing the cabinets, upholstery, etc...?

I am afraid the interior color scam is one of the last things I would be looking @ if I were looking for a new RV !!! What good is a pretty interior if the unit is parked for service or Warranty work half the time ???

Brown is neutral, probably the least offensive. Hides dirt and scuffs better than other colors. Accent with color, paint or recover to make it whatever color you want if it had the right floor plan.

Speaking of Newells - Back in the hey day of our 1967 Newell, the colors of the times were orange, green, yellow and red. Look previous owner covered the dining bench in white. We took off the cover to reveal the original orange....I don't think rv manufacturers are gonna please everyone.

I like the brown tones in my A-Frame. Lol

I hope Forest River changes their color schemes because different shades of brown doesn't do it for me. I hate brown enough to change manufactures that have a better verity. Would trim is awful because it looks like crap as the unit ages. This is the tech era and the schemes should look less bulky and antique. The units should look sleek and modern. AND NO PLATFORM TOILETS!!!!!

Don't think of it as brown. Think of it as Champagne!

The interior of our Solera was brown and we thought it was very nice. The cabinets were cherry, and everything else coordinated nicely. We had it five years and when we traded it a couple months ago, it still looked brand new. The interior of our S.O.B. is light colored with black and grey. We love that, too. But as someone else said, the reliability and quality is more important to us than the interior.

I like the brown/cream interior. Brown hides muddy dog paw prints and fish goo residue. Cream lets me add any color I want. I can make it pop with primary color accessories as an accent to the brown/cream. My red velour bedspread looks awesome with those colors.

I agree in a few ways, but with a few accent pillows, lighting and paint, it can be whatever you want! I'm thinking of doing a stainless backsplash myself.

Would you stock you portfolio with two or three stocks or would you diversify you portfolio with High risk to low risk stocks and bonds depending on your age.

Brown is okay but I am just tired of everything I have seen coming in some shade of brown.
I don't have dirt to hide or pets to cover up for. AND OF COURSE quality is more important than appearance, BUT!!!!!!! when you pay over 100k for something you want and should expect you can find both quality and a look that fit you. Nothing wrong with that.

That is why the airlines and other businesses treat Americana like crap, because we settle for what we can get instead of demanding what we want. Look guys and gals...... Do you go in and tell your boss what you will be paid, when your coming into work and how much vacation time he will give you!!!!! No, No, No, NO!!!!!!! Your boss reminds you that he is paying you and you will follow their rules. Same thing applies in a buyer seller relationship. It is this reason why customer service is so bad in America.

Your the consumer, your the boss!!!!! Never forget that.

Hi,

Much as we love our 2014 Silverback, we yearn for the days when lighter wood and furniture were available.

To our eye, dark interiors are gloomy, and make the interior seem smaller. Yet as we looked for our current unit, we found that no-one seemed to be offering anything else.

When we asked at dealers and RV shows, the answer invariably was that manufacturers believed people wanted the dark wood because they thought it looked more luxurious.

FWIW.

LOL... So now we've gone from interior color choices to what your portfolio should be or what you're gonna tell your boss how much you're gonna make??

We could care less if the interior is brown or whatever...... IT is a camper not our home, we stay in it 60 -80 days a year and are not camping for a fashion show. I can not pay 100K for a camper so it can look pretty. We go camping to get away and don't spend all day inside it.

It is a camper who cares what if it looks fashionable as long as it is functional and clean.

GO!!! and..........

Being color blind can have its advantages. I used to stress over it until I realized I do not have to stress over what shade of blue or green or yellow looks best with another color. Got over the stress about not seeing color years ago. I thankfully could care less what colors they use (DW loves brown so all good: at least she says it is brown). All I know is I camp in a well functioning, rolling house that keeps me dry and happy. Got to love life. Time to go out and camp some more.
