Of course maybe the insurance company to them they had to
keep it and could not sell it for a number of years, one never
knows what the thinking was
AFAIK, they've kept up with it and it doesn't have any leaks. It just hasn't been moved in nearly 30 years.

They were debating on selling it just a couple years ago but never did.

Our 1990 Innsbruck by Gulfstream - photo taken at Myrtle Beach in 2013.
OK, I confess, after 23 years things like the manual water heater, no slide, tiny bathroom, and crawl over your partner bed were wearing a little thin. So we gave this one away and bought our 2014 Coachmen Catalina new. I'll be 80 in another 20 years, and expect I'll get another new one then.

I thought about a new one but just can't justify it. My 8 year old 5er has everything I need. It would be nice but... Probably get a new truck first. Probably cost just as much!

We bought a 2000 fleetwood mallard 24j in 2008. We just sold it in August because we needed toy hauler. It was still in great condition for a 15 year old trailerClick image for larger version

Wow Lartross

Nice Chappy, great looking upgrades, I have done a few upgrades
to ours like a new roof, new vents all around and replaced all the
marker lights with LED's marker light . My next upgrades will be all
the LED's in the lights inside and Dexter E-Z flex Suspension this
spring.

I'm also thinking about a new water pump system with a small
holding tank under the sink, darn thing makes to much noise
when we are boon docking. I've put up with it now for a few
years and with the DW complaining so I may have to bite the
bullet and fix that as well.......

I believe like you I have a much better 5th wheel that what
is out there new today after seeing all the complains about
the newer ones. Of course the complainers are more than
likely 2 percent of what out there but it's always nice to see
what may happen so you can be on guard or pro active if
it starts to happen.

Stay warm and dry maybe some day we will cross path's I'm
always on the look out for older Chappy's or for that any of
the older Coachmen products

The other thing I noticed was that the floor plan looking forward
and toward the back looks like our 2006.

I have noticed that from about 2004 thought 2008 the floor plans
look pretty much the same with the 27ft thought the 35ft Chappy's.
Even though they may have changed colors inside and out from
year to year along with the decals.

I tried to buy the Chaparral decal for the front of ours since it is
looking sort of bad ( frayed ). Coachman parts department spent
a better part of thirty minutes looking for one while I was on the
phone, ask for my phone number to call me back which they did
within a hour. They stated that they did not have any since it
was to old, so I ask about a 2007, 2008 and 2009, they said they
had the 2009 and 2010, price was $175 even with my Coachmen
Owners Association discount, regular price was $200, ouch

Hey Chuck, as you can see, I'm not fond of decals or conventional color schemes. I installed a new aqua-something water pump, 2 t105s with a battery monitoring system and an upgraded 3 stage charger/converter. I have a new refer, water heater, refer protection system [pardon my lack of appropriate words, but, I've got crs pretty bad], wired for sat and cell phone antenna for my amplifier, added an extra 33g water tank under the bed, replumbed things to include a water filtration system and the extra tank and a faucet to refill the main tank from. I'm sure there's other things I'm forgetting right now, like 2-32" flat screen tv's, removed booth and couch, new 16" wheels and tires, etc and so on...it's frustrating losing your mind, but fun in ways...everything is so new and fun! Well, with that, I'll let it go...

Here is my S291, still in great shape for an ultralite. I try to keep up with all the maintenance that goes with an older unit. It has served us very well over the years.

Nice looking trailer, we looked at TT trailers new and used when
we bought out Chappy, we could not find anything we really
likes.

When the DW and I walked into the Chappy we new it was the
one we liked and the price after going back and fourth
was something we could live with even thought the sale's guy
stated I must have been a horse trader in my past life
