Rockwood/Flagstaff Factory,Goshen IN.
Here are some pictures at the factory . We were there picking up our Windjammer that was being repaired for the second time, from the crack in the side-wall original reason for being repaired(design problem). They did a fantastic job this time and we were impressed with everyone at the factory. They make 20-22 units a day with a record of 33 units a day set in 2010. They will run based on model and 5th wheel or Travel Trailer. They try and keep each daily run the same model threw out the day. They start work at 530am everyday. however during the hot summer months they may start a 3am-4am to beat the hot summer sun. (no A/c in the factory).

a few more..one they're putting the roof on! I had to be careful the Amish don't like there pictures taken. We were shown the other side of the factory but we couldn't take pictures because the Amish working there didnt want us to take any pictures....thats why most factory tours are taken during after hours. ( it was where they make the cabinets etc.)

We didn't see any Windjammers being made, but the process is the same, the day before they were making 5th wheels on the same line. That why at the end of the pictures you'll see 5th wheels that didn't get finished from the day befores production.

Didn't remember taking so many pictures! No wonder the workers were running away when we got closer to the stations!

We also had a tour of the repair facility which is about 200 yards from the main production building where the pictures were taken. We weren't allowed to take pictures only because the workers didn't want us too. They were all very nice and explained what they were doing in detail, they just don't like there pictures taken. All and all We took up a whole day with Doug Fought the Warranty manager at Rockwood/Flagstaff. It was very nice of him to take the time out of his busy schedule to completely go over our camper repair, making sure it was done to our standards and there's. Then to spend the rest of the day touring the factory and taking us through allot of there 2012 units! Here's some more pictures of the new "Diamond Package" on a 5th Wheel- Thermopane-frame-less windows, Slam-latch baggage doors,LED lights inside and out. There's more to the package but I forgot....getting old !!

Capucine...I was disappointed with the pictures that uploaded because if you make them full screen you can really see the detail of what everyone's doing! There is one picture where they're flipping the floor over and attaching it. That's the station where all the holding tanks are installed and the floors attached. Its funny they hook and power-up the wiring and lights as it moves down the line...so they can see if a circuit doesn't work...in-line PDI (lol). I was surprised no got shocked, wire's were every where at one station and as they we plugged in...on the lights came !

Had to laugh at the above listed "Diamond Package" - because all the doors are supposed to be slam-latch eventually. During the tour I asked about one door of the camper being the old style along with the new slam-latch. The worker said there supply chain isnt reliable yet. So they had to put the old style on. I said that seems strange to put to different kinds of doors on...I wondered how they explain it at the dealers. There's the answer from above "Slam-latches on most doors". One would think they shouldn't start production without all the parts...not in the RV industry.
*** Note the plant manager told us, that as soon as front and rear caps become available for the WINDJAMMER line it will be offered. The goal is to offer it in all the Rockwood/Flagstaff lines and models. It will most likely stretch onto the 2013 line-ups

Good to know. Do they usually provide factory tours? I realize you were there for your warranty work, but some of the motorhome plants provide tours. Just wondering if this plant had a similar program.
PS. (edit) It would be fun to go there and watch my order being built

Rebel702- They don't have tours of this plant per say, but you can if your in the area try calling the plant, they may or may not let you. As I said most plant tours are after the work hours are over, because most of the workers in all the RV plants are Amish background and don't like having there pictures taken. They're plants all over this area that have tours. Just down the same road (SR-13) is the Jayco plant(huge-5 times bigger than this one),Keystone, EvergreenRV, and many, many more. Hallmark cargo trailers-(several different cargo manufactures in the area).
YOUROO- The mailing address for this Division is Millersburg, so you were at the same factory. It just past the town limits for Goshen,IN (bigger city). We stayed in Goshen and Doug Fought refered to it being in Goshen, but your right it is in Millersburg. I think Doug said the repair facility, finished unit parking is on Goshen property but the entrance to the plant is on SR-13 which is Millersburg! Hope I didn't get everyone mixed up! Thanks YOUROO --- Dave K.
