Post Winterize your rv

I am a new owner and want to make sure that i am covered for the winter. What is the best and most simple way to winterize my tt for the winter months?

Drain hw heater.
Turn bypass on back
drain low point drains.
Drain fresh water
Remove water filter.
Buy winterize kit to install antifreeze on suction side of pump
Do not dump antifreeze in fresh water tank.
3 gallons should do it.
run all taps till pink run inside and outside showers till pink.
Run toilet till pink.
dump remaining antifreeze in traps

Mice love trailers. How they get in is open to speculation. More than that, they love to chew on things. Seal all cracks/openings you can find and, after that, two or three containers of d-Con usually takes care of the problem should one develop.

Flush out the holding tanks to make sure they are clean. Make sure they are well drained.

Leave the refer door(s) ajar to prevent any possibility of mildew or mold, at least until you are sure it is bone dry.

Remove any cans or bottles that could freeze and burst.

I personally would advise against d-Con, or any poison. Critters can eat the poison and disappear into a wall or other hiding spot to die...the smell after that could be very difficult to trace and/or eliminate! I have never had an issue like this, but I think I would lean towards traps so that I can find any remains rather than dealing with a carcass I can't find. Just my 2 cents on that one.

Watch this VERY GOOD video.
It just about covers it all.

Then come back to the FRF forums and ask questions if you have any.

Good Luck!
