Columbus 295RL

I may be a new owner of a new Columbus 295Rl all I have to do is sign the dotted line.
I'll be towing it with a 2005 Chevy 2500HD short bed, Any comments?

Also to add I would have them put a slider hitch in your truck if you don't have one already

Slider hitch and maybe air bags on the back of your truck. Columbus makes a bunch of nice models!

Thank you all for the info. I called the dealer yesterday and I told him to install a Trail Ride pin box by Trail-air. what do you think?

That trail ride hitch should smooth out the ride let me suggest something to you look at the Reese 5th air born hitch is the same as the trail ride but the air bag and shock is hidden inside the hitch it looks like a stock hitch it was worth the money to me for an air hitch in my book

I also have a Columbus 295RL, I tow mine with a 2005 GMC 2500HD short box, and it tows rather well, I only wish I had a diesel instead of the 6.0 gas. Another option that you will want is the TRI-Glide hitch on the Columbus. As for the hitch in your truck, I have a Curt 20k slider, which I bought for the same price as the 16k in case I ever wanted to upgrade. I have never had to use the slider with the curved front end of the Columbus. I think you should have no problem pulling it with that truck. This has been a big discussion on out Columbus Owners Group and then the Fore, GM, Dodge comes into play. I like my GMC

I just ordered a new 2014 Columbus 320RS due in, in about 6 to 8 weeks. I opted for the Mor/Ryde pin box instead of the Trail Air Glide ride, heard it was better and a bit less expensive. The dealer will have to install since it is not an option from the factory. Good reviews on the Mor/Ryde. Anyone on here have a Mor/Ryde that can comment?? Thanks!
