New 5th Battery! I don't get it.Help

Im a boat guy and on all my boat's I ever owned there was always a battery switch! But not on my new Puma Unleashed. I know that most of the time the RV will be plugged in. why not a cut off switch of some kind. Now if I install a cut off switch @ the Battery. If the switch is off, the battery can't be charged when plugged in correct? Thanks for Any insight on this .

only use the battery disconnect when the trailer is being stored or not used.the battery will not be charged when the disconnect is activated.

I installed a battery disconnect switch on our travel trailer. I found out that there are things (alarms, etc..) that run off the battery all the time thus creating a constant drain on the batteries. I installed it to the negative side of the battery. I set the switch to the position which connects the negative terminal of the batteries to the trailer ground when I want to charge the batteries using the inverter. When the battery is charged I set the switch so that the negative terminal is disconnected from the trailer ground. This allows my batteries to stayed charged for a longer amount of time.
