We would appreciate any help and advice from Puma Unleashed Owners. We have a deposit on a 2011 Puma 356-qlb and it is currently being inspected. An experienced RV'er friend took a look yesterday and was quite impressed. My family and I have NEVER owned anything like this and I have gotten a great education from this forum. I would like to know what I should look for during the inspection, and what to ask of the dealer to ensure that I am getting a clean unit. Last thing I need is a Seventeen Thousand Dollar problem. Have the dealer operate all the items. Have them show you how everything works. Take a video of the whole process. If it moves have them show you how to opertate the item. If it heats up see how to turn on. Have them show you how to winterize your HW heater. See where the water filter is located. Have them show you how to access the water pump. While you are making a movie of the whole process have your better 1/2 take notes. Don't be afraid to ask questions. If they are an excellent dealership they will not mind taking the time to make your first camper a great experience. Welcome to the forum and have a great time learning and enjoying your new toy.

Take this "PDI Checklist" from our Library to your dealer walkthrough. Make sure to hit every step in it (yes, even A/C in the bitter cold weather ).

The dealer might appreciate knowing that you intend to do this detailed of a walk through.

Ditto about doing a detailed PDI (inspection) and giving the dealer a heads up for scheduling reasons. A good walkthough can help you to get a little familiar with your new RV. With it being a 2011 unit I am assuming it has been used by someone else. If so I would make sure the black tank is actually empty and free of any unwanted piles of poo.

We purchased a 356 Unleashed 1- year ago. And, we love it. Lots of storage and sleeping areas. Lots of electrical outlets. Very well made. I'm not fond of fiberglass on campers "Delamination"can occur easily! As stated previously any dealer will go thru it with you. Once you see how everything works it is easy to remember. Congrats on your Camper.
