Re: Fuel Station Debris

Just brought home a new 2017 351. I've been looking over these threads and have found a lot of good info. I was especially interested in the problem from this thread (Fuel Station Debris) since I will be using the fuel station to fill up my bike. A just ordered this fuel filter made by Jegs. I got it because it has a large accumulator and filter and the filter element is replaceable. I'll be installing it in the fuel line between the tank and the pump. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Keep me posted on this. I've been wanting to do the same thing cause we go thru a lot of fuel in our Canam 1000 SXS.
We already had to fix the pump by sanding down the pump impeller diameter a little bit. The plastic impeller in the fuel pump assembly will swell up and seize the pump up. When it does it you will think your pump motor went bad or is going bad. Its an easy fix just have to take the pump apart to get to the impeller out of it and sand the diameter of the impeller down a tad bit so it will stop rubbing the inside of the pump assembly. Easy fix though and didn't need to buy a new pump to fix it. I hear its a common issue with these pumps but these plastic pump impellers don't swell if used to pump diesel. My pump has been working great since.
