rear beds lower during transport

I took my 351 out for the first time. When i arrived to the campground the beds had come down on top of my golf cart. My last TH had pins to prevent this. This one doesn't. Happened to anyone else?

Fred - one thing i do notice in your signature is that you tow with a 3500 dually. These 351's have a light tongue weight of ~1600 pounds and with a golf cart loaded up (guessing ~600 lbs) I would imagine the ride in the back of that camper is pretty bouncy and this could be part of your problem. I tow with a 2500 crew cab single wheel and with (2) atvs in the rear i noticed this immediately. I could only image with a 3500 dually. For this reason i am seriously considering investing in a Reese 5th Airborne King Pin to smooth out the ride for the toy hauler and me. Just some info i thought i would share.

Thanks, but this also happened when i was empty, on the way to load up. But good point, also read someone else talk about filling the fresh water tank to level that off.

Your beds are electric, are they not? They should not come down unless the switch is activated.
We have the electric bunks in our toyhauler and we travel some pretty rough gravel roads and have never experienced a bunk moving.

They never came down on my previous TH. Do you have the Puma 351?

On the end of the motor (above the top bunk) there is a switch that allows the beds to come down if it is not in the correct position. It is labeled. Check & see if it is not in the correct position...... Mine did that when I brought it home but now has never don it since.........
