On the outside of your camper should be an access panel to your water heater... In there is a pressure relief valve. If you push that open, you'll either hear the water heater filling or you'll actually get water out of it if it's full. Once the water heater is full, then you can turn on the water heating element. If you turn it on before it's full, you can actually damage the water heating element pretty quick (I came very close to doing this last week at my first trip of the season!).
